Richie Sambora has left rehab and is headed back to the Bon Jovi tour. The guitarist is set to rejoin the band in Europe.
Sambora went to rehab in late April for exhaustion and alcohol use after spending most of last year out on tour.
Jon and the rest of the band have reportedly been very supportive of Sambora’s decision to enter rehab.
Gibson.com reported the temporary replacement for Sambora during his absence was Phil X, or Philip Xenidis. He is a session guitarist who has also played guitar for Tommy Lee, Rob Zombie, Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, Chris Cornell, among others.
New York Daily News reports that Bon Jovi is set to be touring Europe through the end of July, and Sambora is likely to rejoin the band for its performance in Croatia.
Good luck Richie!
