Amanda Durkin, a 35-year-old woman from Withernsea, East Yorkshire (England) has been penalized for listening to too much Bon Jovi music. Durkin had been consoling herself after a rough divorce by listening to Bon Jovi nonstop, and loud enough to annoy her neighbors!
From 11pm to the wee hours of the morning, she played tracks like “Bad Medicine” and “Livin’ on a Prayer” repeatedly. Amanda ignored several complaints from her neighbors, and the city council led authorities to take action.
She was forced to pay a fine and hand over her stereo!
The local prosecutor, Vincent Barnard, said, “She was interviewed under caution and confirmed that she had received all of the warnings, but, due to personal problems in her life, chose to ignore them.”

Talk about being Wanted Dead or Alive for giving love a Bad Name and wanting to Make a Memory! Durkin tried to console herself after her recent divorce by repeatedly launching the rock anthems ‘Bad Medicine’ and ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ through the windows and doors of an entire neighborhood, for months. Perhaps things might have gone better for her if she had chosen to play You Couldn’t Live Without Me, So Why Aren’t You Dead?
Not surprisingly, stressed out neighbors soon reported her to the authorities and Durkin was soon cruising emotionally Broken down her own personal Lost Highway. She contemplated being a Runaway, but defended herself by telling authorities that after her life was shattered, she was merely trying to Keep the Faith until she discovered Something to Believe In.
